Help! My board isn't registering most of my steps.

For some reason, this morning my board quit registering most of my steps. It will catch them here and there, but maybe 30%. I tried to switch activities (Free Step, the dance step, etc.) but with little success. Free step only recorded about 15-20%. I thought it might be the batteries, so I put knew ones in, but it didn't improve. Any suggestions?

I got it back to working. You would think that it would reset itself when I put new batteries in it and synced it, but it didn't. I exited all the way out, shut off the system for awhile and went back in and it seems to be working now. Hopefully this helps someone else if it happens to them.
